Being so close to Cape Point you can expect this location to throw some harsh conditions at any kiters bold enough to brave the cold and sharky waters. When the big south swells roll through, the most hardcore riders can be spotted out on the point at Crayfish factory.

"Close to Cape Point is as extreme as it gets, with a regular wind blowing between 40-50knots and clean waves that often reach up to 5m, it's truly the place where you can fly the highest. Sharky, cold, blue waters, meet vertical cliffs and white sandy beaches, if you are up for the challenge it's a truly majestic place."
- Graham Howes

"I love riding this spot on a NW wind. It gets really gusty as the wind comes straight over the mountains, but the waves can be really nice. It also picks up a lot more swell then Big Bay because the spot is facing more towards open ocean.Be sure not to crash your kite cause it's guaranteed to go on the rocks. Also keep an eye out on the sharkies, because they like that spot too." - Kevin Langeree
