Red Bull King of the Air
Dolphin Beach

Dolphin Beach is one of Cape Town’s busiest kiting beaches; on a busy day you can count at least 150 kiters in the water. With swells anywhere between 1-3 metres, Dolphin Beach is known for its good waveriding and wakestyle.

"The angle and strength of the wind is close to perfect on most South easterly days and there’s awesome kickers to hit."
- Ruben Lenten

"A little upwind of 'kitebeach' is this big air spot. The wind is usually the strongest and cleanest wind along this side of the mountain; and with most days having 2-3m waves, it's the best spot for boosting megaloops. In high wind season the wind often reaches over 40 knots and most people are blown off the water, but not the high-flyers."
- Graham Howes
